Fire Training Wales will be running two sessions in Rhayader on Friday 23rd March.
The sessions will begin at 10am and 1:30pm

- Fire Awareness, latest statistics and fires in the UK
- Triangle of Fire, combustion & fire spread
- Human behaviour in a fire situation
- The role of the Fire Warden.
- Site specific information including evacuation plans
- Basic principles of risk assessment, to include specific risks, machinery, oils, location of fire, forestry fire breaks and good working practices
- Fire fighting procedures when a helicopter is in use
- Fire spread to include crowning
- Weather conditions and how this affects the ease of fire starting
- Routine fire prevention measures
- Fire drills and pre-planning
- Fire fighting equipment
- Practical Fire Fighting Situation
