We are pleased to be working with Coed Cymru to bring you this workshop on Priority Habitat Identification.

Overview:

The day will provide an introduction to the Identification of the 4 main priority habitats that can be found on potential sites for new woodland creation. The day will assist attendees to identify priority habitat, deciding if a site is suitable for planting, the implications of the identification of priority habitat.

Objectives:

This Knowledge Transfer event will cover the following objectives:

  • To be able to Identify Priority Habitat in Upland areas

  • Assess if a site is suitable for Planting in relation to Habitat

  • Implications of the Identification of Priority Habitat

Agenda

9.00 am to 9.30am Welcome & Introduction

9.30 am Drive to site (car share where possible)

9.45 am Identification of Priority Habitat in a range of Habitats

12.30pm to 1.30pm Lunch Break  

1.30pm Identification of Habitat continues

4pm Finish
