"Prior to undertaking courses with Focus on Forestry First (FoFF), I struggled with the fact that Forestry in Wales had courses available, but these were mostly linked with partner organisations, which are always changing personnel, standards, guidance etc. There was never a 'one stop shop' where you could innovatively engage with a company to develop particular skill sets / course material. FoFF has managed to bridge the gap between all the relevant stakeholders, creating practical and highly informative events, and even managing to effectively bring together public and private sector to gain a shared knowledge and understanding of forestry related challenges. That is an achievement in and of itself! From networking with peers, to learning about silvicultural practices, protected species and so much more, I cannot recommend FoFF more.
