Important Changes to Funding: Skills Development Support - further courses removed

As we enter the last year of the programme we are now taking some further action to focus the remaining funding…

Why is this changing?

We are increasing the number of training events that we will no longer fund. These are in addition to those already withdrawn where they are requested as part of a new training agreement, part of an amended training agreement, or part of a training agreement at re-registration.

The courses you can include in an agreement can be found here:

Why is this changing?

Because of the availability of funds we have been able to support a wider range of businesses with a wider range of training than initially envisaged. As we move into the last year of Forestry Focused Future and funding decreases, we need to focus back on sector priorities. This means reducing funding in some areas whilst not others.

What does this mean for you?

If you already have a course that is not outlined in the Supported Qualification list in a current training agreement and your registration with FFF has not lapsed, FFF will still honour the level of support already agreed.

If you have not yet added these qualifications to your agreement or planned to include these in a further agreement, unfortunately, this will no longer be possible after Friday 9th April 2021.

If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing sd@focusonforestryfirst.co.uk or calling us on 0808 178 2757.
