As we enter the last year of the programme we are now taking some action to focus the remaining funding. Due to this, we are tightening up our notifications process…

Notifying us of a New Training Event.

  • 4 Weeks Notice.

All notifications must be submitted by your training provider with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice before the training event start date. Too short notice and the notification will be returned and not processed.

  • 3 Month Restriction.

We will no longer be able to accept a notification form for a training event that is due to start in more than 3 months’ time.

For example; A course starting on 1st August 2021 should be notified no sooner than the 1st May 2021.

  • Course Date To Be Confirmed.

Please ensure that training & assessment dates have been agreed upon before a notification form is sent to FFF. Any notification forms received with dates TBC will be returned and not processed.

  • Supported Course List.

We are increasing the number of training events that we will no longer fund. These are in addition to those already withdrawn where they are requested as part of a new training agreement, part of an amended training agreement, or part of a training agreement at re-registration.

The courses you can include in an agreement can be found here:

Notifying us of a New Training Event.

Once a course is secured by paying the contribution fee, FFF will supply the Agreed Training Provider with a Purchase Order that relates to the Business, Trainee, Course & Date this training event is for. Please ensure that you update FFF of any changes after securing your funding.

  • Date changes

If a course is postponed, without a new date being provided FFF will cancel the Purchase Order with the Agreed Training Provider & credit the contribution back to the beneficiary who secured it; Once the training event is re-organised a new notification form must be submitted to FFF and the contribution repaid.

If a course is postponed but a new date is confirmed at the time of postponement, the Training Provider must update FFF and then the Purchase Order will be secured against the new date

  • Trainee Changes

For a business with employees: if your employee can no longer attend the planned training, the Purchase Order for secured funding can be used for another employee as long as the course is already within your training agreement.

If this course or trainee is not listed in your agreement please contact us to discuss this by emailing notifications@focusonforestryfirst.co.uk

Registrations & Training Agreements.

  • Registrations & Reregistrations

A reminder that FFF will be closed to all new registrations for the Skills Development Scheme from Friday 30th April.

If your registration runs out soon and you intend to reregister you need to do this before it expires. Otherwise, it will be treated as a new registration and the 30th April rule will apply to you.

  • Training Agreements

Your training agreement will be valid until your registration expires. Before booking your training, please ensure that you are registered beyond the start date of your course.

As part of the re-registration process, we will be evaluating your existing training agreement to ensure that it is deliverable within the remaining period of the programme.

This is to ensure that funds are distributed fairly throughout the final year of the project and management of this is efficient.

If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing sd@focusonforestryfirst.co.uk or calling us on 0808 178 2757.
