Join us for an afternoon of forestry health and safety updates, practical case studies and knowledge sharing, bringing together forestry businesses, contractors, industry representatives and Natural Resources Wales (NRW).
The event will explore key health and safety issues across forestry establishment, harvesting, haulage and wildfire, with contributions from industry practitioners and the Forest Industry Safety Accord (FISA).
There will also be opportunities to network with colleagues from across the sector and discuss current challenges and approaches to improving health and safety in forestry operations.

Focus on Forestry First, working with Confor, the Forest Industry Safety Accord (FISA) and sector partners, is bringing together forestry professionals for an afternoon focused on health and safety across forestry operations.
The event will combine practical industry case studies with FISA updates, providing an opportunity to share experience, discuss current challenges and explore how health and safety can be supported consistently across the forestry sector.
Topics will include:
Forestry establishment – a practical case study and relevant FISA updates.
Harvesting operations – industry experience and current health and safety considerations.
Forestry haulage – issues and good practice relating to safe operations.
Wildfire – health and safety considerations associated with wildfire.
NRW health and safety – information and data from Natural Resources Wales, alongside wider discussion and questions.
The programme will also provide time for networking and discussion with colleagues from across the forestry and timber sector.
