Forest Works Manager Awareness for Contractors (27JAN-FWM)

  • Woodland Skills Center (Denbigh) The Warren, Mold Road Denbigh, Wales, LL16 4DT United Kingdom (map)

Overview

The FWM, or Forest Works Manager, is the person or organisation who commissions the work on a forestry site.

In 2022, FISA (Forest Industry Safety Accord) stopped delivering FWM awareness training themselves, instead this is now organised and delivered by specialist training providers.

This one day course is designed for Forest Works Managers, Site Supervisors, Team Leaders and those managing forestry operations. This course will provide a general oversight and awareness of the responsibilities of a Forest Works Manager.

This course is suitable as a Refresher for those who have previously undertaken FISA FWM Training.

  • Understanding the role of the Forest Works Manager

  • Oversight of the Health and Safety at Work Act, and the legal Responsibilities of an FWM

  • Understanding Hazards, Risks and Controls
